How Far in Advance Should We Book a Wheatpasting Campaign?
We recommend allowing seven business days for a wheatpasting campaign. Depending on the market, we can start putting up posters within two days of receiving artwork, with New York City and Los Angeles among the markets where that faster start is possible. At Posterize Media, we welcome short-notice opportunities. If a product launch, opening, or experiential marketing event is approaching, contact us promptly; don't assume street posters are out of reach.
Short-Notice Campaigns in NYC and LA
We first need to understand the market and the artwork. A client with creative ready for NYC or LA will have a different scheduling request than a team still developing artwork for several markets. The quicker timing starts from receiving the artwork. We can assess the opportunity before that point, but an initial inquiry is not the start of a two-day installation clock.
We also need to know what must happen by the date you provide. Beginning installation on launch day and having the agreed campaign visible before an announcement are different requirements. For a rollout across several cities, share the full market list and whether the same deadline applies everywhere. That lets us discuss the campaign you need, rather than treating a fast start in one city as a commitment for the entire rollout.
You Can Discuss Locations Before Finishing the Artwork
Finished artwork helps, but it is not required to contact us. You can bring us the creative and target areas, or speak with us about locations first and let that discussion inform the design. We work with either approach. When locations are still being considered, your team can think about what the message should say in those surroundings before the artwork is finalized.
Our Ana Luisa campaign in NYC addressed “Upper East Siders” and announced “NOW OPEN,” making the neighborhood part of the message. The creative shows why location belongs in the design conversation: the poster speaks to people in a particular area about an opening relevant to them.
That does not mean an established brand needs to replace its national creative with local wording. If the artwork already communicates the campaign, bring it with you. The choice is whether you need help deciding where existing creative should appear or want location advice while your team is still developing it. Waiting for a finished design can delay a conversation that would help answer the location question.
Bring Us Your Launch Date
A short-notice addition to an experiential marketing campaign deserves an answer based on its actual requirements. Email sales@posterizemedia.com with your target markets, desired start or launch date, and current artwork status. Explain what needs to be visible by that date, including any differences between cities. You can also use our contact form to request a discussion. We can then assess the timing and help you decide how to move the campaign forward.
